Seeds, Sprouts, Roots & Shoots!
This hour is all about plants and their life cycles! Smell, touch, & taste all the ways we use plants in our daily lives! Displays include seeds, pods, live plants, herbs, spices, rhizomes, moss, lichen, bulbs, carnivorous plants, & more! Learn how plants reproduce, how seeds are scattered, and more interesting facts! Students will plant their own flower seeds to take home!
Learn about the phylas of the animal kingdom. This introductory class teaches about the different classes of animals; I share live, and preserved specimens representing the phyla in our animal kingdom!
This interactive program shares live insects from our environment, and touches on life cycles and the benefits of having these "good" bugs in our gardens, and in our world. Choose to conclude with a release of the insects.* $1.00 per child*

Learn about camouflage as defense, the types of camouflage used in the animal kingdom, experience many varieties of live animals, and observe their specific types of camouflage. This is a hands-on experience with many exotic insects, arachnids, amphibians, and reptiles!
Habitats Are Homes
Learn about the biomes of the world, and the many animal habitats they support; Learn how animals use their habitats for food, camouflage, shelter, and the importance of the protection of these habitats. Learn about terrestrial, arboreal, nocturnal, diurnal, and many fun facts! I share live animals from biomes around the world to illustrate the many types of habitats!
Take a close look at ladybugs, their life cycle, habitats, natural defenses, and learn fun, interesting facts about these beneficial insects, and why it is important to have them in our environments! Use magnifiers to observe real ladybug eggs, live larvae, pupae, and adults! You can choose to add a ladybug release for each child!

Life Cycle Series
These programs are 4 to 6 weeks in length, and are designed to allow
children to experience full life cycles from the hatching of larvae to
the full cycle of laying new eggs, children will observe the wonder of
nature right before their eyes! I come into the classroom one hour per
week for each week of the series, and bring projects and activities
related to the life cycle being explored. I will bring a habitat to
leave in the classroom for observation too!

Observe the life cycle stages of this fascinating amphibian! This seasonal program will share live life cycle of tadpoles to frogs! This is a great 6 week life cycle series for classrooms and home schools, but can also be shared as an hour program! Students use lighted magnifiers to observe specimens in detail!

What's That Buzz? BEES!
This program will take a look at our local honey bee, their declining numbers, and the importance of bees in our lives! Learn about their social orders, life cycles, behaviors, and many interesting facts! Students will plant seeds to attract bees, & take home a resource guide of plant varieties to plant to help save our bees! Choose to add a honeycomb wax candle project!
